Cheer Squads & UKCA in the Press

We’ve had a brilliant start to the year here at The UKCA. In last week’s blog we talked through our competition schedule, and how excited we are for the fun we have in place for you all in 2015! With only 1 week into January 2015, our teams are already flying the flag for Cheerleading across the UK. There are some brilliant news articles circulating surrounding Cheerleading, showcasing the great work being done by our coaches and members up and down the Country.

The squad Clarets Cheer and Dance have been featured in the Burnley Express, for their outstanding performance at The Winter Championships in December. You can read the full article which discusses their talents and achievements here.

Another team who made it into their local press is The Firestorm Cheerleaders. The article surrounding them in the Salford Advertiser can be seen here, or in the image sent to us from their coach Sarah Aldcroft. The team are looking for a sponsor, and focusing on growth this year. Head over to their website firestormcheer.co.uk for how to get involved!

Our great news does not stop there… A coaching position is available! See below for details:

The Basingstoke Wolverines in Hampshire are looking for a Level 3 (or higher) coach to train their team of 24, on Monday & Thursday evenings in Basingstoke. For further details please contact the Program Manager, Michelle Teague at michelle.teague@basingstokewolverines.co.uk or on 07884655255.

Good luck, Team UKCA.
