The Greek Cheerleading Association hosts coaching clinic in Athens

The first 13 enthusiasts from Patra, Loutraki and Athens experienced an intensive cheerleading coach clinic conducted by Russian coaches Tatyana Saushkina and Inessa Bruskina. The clinic was organised by the European Cheerleading Association (ECA), the Russian Cheerleading Federation (RCF) and the Greek Cheerleading Association (GCA) in order to qualify cheerleading coaches in Greece.

Coaches successfully learned techniques in Cheerleading (Stunts) and Cheer Dance in a buoyant atmosphere. At the end of the clinic there was an interactive session at the beach where local children and their parents joined together with the GCA coaches.

The ECA Vice President, Ramona Marshall from Germany, awarded certificates to the participants. GCA coaches were very excited with the weekend and motivated to apply their skills and knowledge learned in order to train children in cheerleading for preparation of Greek teams in European and World events.

GCA is planning to organise another cheerleading coach clinic at a later date.
