Schools National Championships 2016

This weekend saw the final UKCA competition for this half of the year with the National Cycling Centre in Manchester playing host to the UKCA National Schools’ Cheerleading Championship.

The competition saw performances from Cheerleading, Pom Dance and Street Cheer categories across the weekend with competitors ages ranging from 4 – 18. Typically we were blown away by the quality of the performances throughout the championship. The hard work our teams and coaches have put in, in preparation was clear to see and the atmosphere created was exceptional. As always the spirit awards were a very difficult decision. On Saturday Fairway Cheerleaders claimed the Milano Pro Sport Spirit Award for their unwavering enthusiasm all day. Similarly, Radcliffe School won Sunday’s Insure4Sport Spirit Award after their tremendous support. We’d like to say a huge well done to everyone who took part in the UKCA National Schools’ Cheerleading Championship. We are proud of you, say we are proud of you! A full list of the official results from the competition is now available here: www.ukca.org.uk/results as well as all of the results from the previous 2016 competitions.
