UKCA National Schools’ Championships 2018 – Review

Just over a month after lighting up Belle Vue Sports Village at the UKCA Spring Championships 2018, the UKCA National Schools’ Championships 2018 returned to the National Cycling Centre in style.

In a fun-filled weekend, Schools from across the UK showcased their Cheerleading prowess over 2 days of top class competition and Cheer spirit. Cheer athletes from Key Stages 1,2,3,4 and 5 represented their schools in Cheerleading, Pom Dance, Disability Pom Dance and Urban Cheer categories, competing against other schools from across the nation.

As always our fantastic comperes guided us through the weekend introducing top performance after top performance and presented us with 2 Mascot Showdowns. At the end of each day the winners and runners up were revealed during the awards ceremony where 2 teams were presented with Spirit Awards for their exceptional displays of Cheer Spirit throughout the competition.

The winner of Saturday’s Gateley Spirit Award was Park View Tigers
