Back in October, we set our talented Cheerleaders the challenge of creating the official UKCA Season’s Greetings Cards.

The brief was to create fun, colourful, Cheerleading related festive cards and would be judged on their creativity, their inclusion of something Cheerleading related, and of course Cheer spirit.

We had some amazing submissions making the judging team’s decision quite the challenge! However, after much thought, the 2 winners can now be announced!

We’d like to say a huge well done to our lucky winners. We will soon be in touch with you both to arrange your prizes and your winning submissions will be used as the official UKCA Seasonal Greetings Cards!

UKCA Festive Card Competition Last Chance to Enter!

Entries for the UKCA Festive Card Competition close on Monday 30th November! The 3 lucky winners will have their ideas used as the official UKCA seasonal cards for 2020 and will win official UKCA merchandise!

There is just over a week left to submit your entries for the UKCA Festive Card Competition!

Deadline for entries is Monday 30th November!

This year our 3 seasonal cards will be designed by YOU!

The Brief:

We need you to create fun, colourful, Cheerleading related festive cards and each MUST include one of the following wording:

1. ‘Happy Holidays’
2. ‘Wishing You Festive Cheer’
3. ‘Happy New Year’

The cards will be judged on their creativity, their inclusion of something Cheerleading related, and of course Cheer spirit.

You can submit as many designs you like and you can submit ideas for all 3 cards.

The 3 lucky winners will have their design ideas used as the official UKCA seasonal cards for 2020 and not only that they’ll win official UKCA merchandise!

How to Submit:

Submit your designs to us on social media tagging in the UK Cheerleading Association and using the hashtag #UKCA in your post or email your submission(s) to admin@ukca.org.uk.

The deadline for entries is Monday 30th November, we look forward to seeing more of your entries!

We’ve just added 2 NEW course dates for you this winter, starting with an Online Leadership Award on the 21st & 22nd November followed by a Cheerleading Foundation Skills course on 5th & 6th December 2020.

Our courses are designed to assist and encourage the development of all attendees. Each course is run by a fully qualified instructor and we ensure that everyone who attends, finishes the day feeling confident and inspired.

Due to COVID-19 all of our upcoming courses are held online via Zoom which means you can start your coaching pathway journey and pick up the coaching qualifications you need from the comfort of your own home!

Leadership Award – 21st & 22nd November 2020

The UKCA Leadership Award is the start of coaching pathway suitable for ages 12+ (Students in Year 8 or above) or adults with no coaching/teaching experience. The mix of practical work and theory, the course covers Health & Safety, Communication, Motivation, and Team Building. Successful participants will receive a Level 1 Leadership Award (JSLA/CSLA/NGB Level 1 Equivalent) enabling them to assist their qualified Coach or Teacher with the delivery of Cheer and Dance activities.

Cheerleading Foundation Skills – 5th & 6th December 2020

The UKCA Cheerleading Foundation Skills Course is an introduction to Cheerleading, covering ground-bound Cheer and Dance skills. The course covers, Coaching Skills, Lesson Planning & Session Structure, Health & Safety, Warm-Up, Stretch & Cool Down Activities, Cheerleading Vocal Skills, Cheer Arm Motions, Cheer Jump Technique, and Choreography. Successful participants will receive a Foundation Cheerleading Skills Certificate of Qualification.
