You may remember a couple of years ago we brought you news that UKCA Coach and key organisation member, Anna Melling, was an award nominee at the National Community Fitness Awards. This year Anna was nominated once again, this time in 2 categories.
The National Community Fitness Awards is a two-day fitness event that brings together brands and community fitness instructors to recognise them for the work they do getting their communities active. The event offers a range of masterclasses and careers sessions for instructors and a much-anticipated awards ceremony.
On the evening of Saturday, 9th November, the 2019 awards ceremony hosted by Project Fit took place at Northumbria University honouring nominees for their excellent work with local groups. Winners were subject to public voting with a final decision being made by a panel of Exercise, Movement & Dance UK judges.
Anna, UKCA’s Training & Development Officer, attended the awards after her nomination in two categories – Mini Motivator and Equality & Diversity.
For her fantastic work with children and young people, Anna won the Mini Motivator Award! Amazing!
“I’m very proud to bring the National Award home for the North East and as a UKCA coach.”
– Anna Melling
The Cheerleading coach from the North East hopes her achievement inspires more coach submissions for the awards.
We’d like to say a massive well done to Anna for receiving recognition for her wonderful efforts with young people!
WE ARE PROUD OF YOU!
