UKCA Winter Cheerleading Championships 2019 – Review

This weekend marked the start of UKCA’s competitive Cheerleading season with the sparkling Winter Cheerleading Championships 2019.

The annual event held at Manchester’s Belle Vue Sports Village welcomed teams from across the United Kingdom to compete in Cheerleading, Stunt, Partner Stunt, Group Stunt, Cheer Dance, Pom Dance; and Urban Cheer categories for a chance to test their skills against their fellow Cheer teams.

BGC opened the two-day event on Saturday in a blistering fashion which set the tone for the rest of the competition. A jam-packed day of action followed including 2 awards ceremonies and a Mascot Showdown! Sunday’s action got underway with a sensational performance from Spotlight Stars followed by another full day of competitive Cheerleading action.

The UKCA Winter Cheerleading Championship 2019 also introduced two brand new awards – Junior Grand Champions and Senior Grand Champions, which were handed to the highest performing teams each day.
