UKCA National Cheerleading Championships 2019 – Review

After much anticipation this weekend saw the UKCA National Cheerleadig Championships 2019 light up East Manchester with 2 days of top class Cheer competition.

For the first time this year some of the country’s most talented Cheer athletes descended on Belle Vue Sport Village in Manchester. The competition opened on Saturday with a blistering display from Hartlepool Hawks who set the tone for the rest of the day which featured performances from Cheerleading, Group Stunt and Partner Stunt teams. A day of accomplished performances was closed with a very special ParaCheer Showcase from Hartlepool Hawks Inspire.

Sunday followed a successful Day 1 in style opening with a morning of Urban Cheer kicked off by Clarets Cheer & Dance in brilliant fashion. We were greeted with another incredible atmosphere on Day 2 which featured performances from Urban Cheer, Cheer Dance and Pom Dance groups. The competition was rounded off by Team Spirit before the second Mascot Showdown of the weekend and the Awards Ceremony.

Saturday’s Gateley Spirit Award went to Wigan Vipers

And Sunday’s Insure4Sport Spirit Award went to CCDA

Loud and proud throughout day were Olympus Girls Club who are celebrating their 50th Year in 2019. We’d like to say a huge well done to them once again on their amazing achievement.

We’d like to say a huge thank you and well done to everyone that made the UKCA National Cheerleading Championships 2019 such a huge success from Cheerleaders to Coaches, Spectators to Judges, Helpers to Volunteers you have once again created another weekend to remember.
