This weekend the UKCA held another amazing competition. The National Cycling Centre in Manchester was the setting for our second event of the year and what a weekend it was!
This weekend’s UKCA National Championships hosted one of the highest amount of entrants in recent years which is fantastic news for the sport following on from the NI Schools and Club Championships at the Antrim Forum which had a record high number of entries in February. The National Championships comp holds particular significance because there are opportunities for teams to qualify for the European Cheerleading Championships which is being held in Slovenia this year. You can find out more about the ECC 2016 here.
The championships started with some incredible Stunting and Cheerleading routines throughout Saturday which set the tone for the whole weekend. Sunday followed with some exceptional Cheer and Pom Dance routines as well as some sentational displays from our Street Cheer teams and of course our Freestylers. Saturday’s Milano Spirit Award went to Limitless for there outstanding cheer spirit throughout the day and similarly Kobika Starlites picked up the Insure4Sport Spirit Award on Sunday.
