As the leading organisation for Cheerleading in the UK, here at The UKCA we believe it is important to build close ties and work alongside charities. Ensuring partnerships are built and maintained across our development with charities such as the Teenage Cancer Trust is important to us. Working together to raise awareness of the importance of sports to children and young adults today is one of our primary aims. Keeping children active in and out of school has become a concern, particularly with a lack of funding in this area. Therefore, this highlights how important it is for institutions to support each other and help those who help others.

This leads to The UKCA’s fundraising project surrounding Victoria Howarth. Vicky is a dedicated member of The UKCA, she trains, coaches and is registered as blind. We want to help Vicky on her way to Rio in 2016 where she dreams of competing in the Paralympics.
