DAY PROGRAMME

THE CHEERLEADING COMPETITION

The Cheerleading competition is available to all divisions at levels 1,2 & 3. Cheerleading routines are a mix of Cheers, chants, Cheer Arm Motions, Cheer Jumps, Cheer Stunts, Tumbling and Dance. Routines are 2 minutes, 30 seconds in total, including the Cheers and chants. Scores maybe affected if the routines overrun.

THE POM DANCE COMPETITION

Pom Dance is the fun factor. This competition is available to all divisions with two levels. Low level for the teams who have not competed before, High Level for teams who have competed before. While the core skills of Arm Motions, and Cheer Jumps are required, the development of creative entertaining dance styles are encouraged. The routines are 2 minutes, 30 seconds in total and are to be performed to up beat music. Routines can also include Cheers and/or Chants. Scores maybe affected if the routines overrun. Poms must be used during the routine. Stunts and Tumbling are NOT allowed.

DISPLAYS

The Exeter Cheer Festival welcomes displays volunteered by any team to add variety throughout the day. This is an ideal time for your Cheer Team to show off their new routines which they have all worked so hard on. Anything goes from Street Cheer, Stunt Routines, Stunt/Partner groups, Cheerleading and Pom Dance at any level from solo’s, duo’s to your full squad. Display places are limited and we may not be able to guarantee your display request. However the Exeter Cheer Festival will try and cater for every team.

THE GROUP STUNT COMPETITION

This competitions is available to all divisions at levels 1,2 & 3. Group Stunt routines are 1 minutes, 15 seconds in total. Group Stunt routines have 5 Cheerleaders and are packed with stunts. 

 

PARTNER STUNT COMPETITION

This competition is available to all age divisions. Partner Stunt routines are also a maximum of 1:15 mins. Perform a routine of continuous single-based Partner Stunts to music. Each Partner Stunt must bring their own spotter to spot throughout the entire routine, they may assist with cradling but may not help toss or secure stunts during the routine.
